1. How much does it cost to hire a coach for the day?
Our rates vary depending on the number of passengers, the distance of your journey and the duration of the hire. We can hire coaches by the hour, the day or by the mile. Get a quote from us today.
2. Can I book a coach for a one way trip?
Yes, we offer both return and one-way coach services. Contact us today for a competitive quote.
3. Do you provide school bus services?
Yes, our school services cover several routes to Chelmsford County High School for Girls, King Edward VI Grammar School and Southend High School for Girls. See our School Contracts page for more information.
4. How far in advance should I book a vehicle?
Yes, we can accommodate both small and large groups with our fleet of executive vehicles. Contact us for more details.
5. Do you require a deposit?
A 30% deposit is required upon booking and full payment is due 7 days before the date of travel.
6. What if I need to change the details on my booking?
If you need to change any details on your booking please call our customer support team and we will be happy to change it. We would need you to sign an acceptance form to confirm the changes.
7. What are the procedures for late payments?
The hirer is responsible to pay a deposit and the full hire cost when due. If you fail to make due payments, we are entitled to either terminate the contract or to take legal action to enforce payment. The company reserves the right to add interest at the rate of 2% compound interest per calendar month, after the date by which payment should have been made.
8. Would multiple pick-ups/drop-offs cost extra?
The price of your hire is calculated based on driving time and fuel used, so if the extra stops result in using more fuel and using extra driving hours then the price will be calculated accordingly.
9. Would it be more expensive for the weekend hire?
We now add a surplus for weekend hires. A weekend starts from Friday 00:01AM - Sunday 23:59PM.

12. How do I get a coach hire quote?
Simple and easy is the answer. From the home page of Coach Hire Comparison, just enter where you are travelling from and to and the number of passengers for your journey. Step 2 allows you to enter the dates and times of travel etc. Your job is then done! In the background our unique system is now comparing quote prices with our operators. We'll then send you our best one straight to your inbox so you don't have to filter through different prices.
